Fate In The Hand Of Others

Recovering from an right arm injury and have been a handicap for the past months. During that period, i will have to depend on my left arm for movements and it's really not a simple task. For people who don't have the experience, you will have to imagine that your right arm is totally lost and you try to move with just your left arm.

Finally, my left arm is about 90% working and it feels real good to be alive. I have start to look for a job and have sent out a few resumes but because of this morning incident, it start to make me think that how can we know that the recruitment agency is really helping you?

Yesterday evening, i received 2 calls from a recruitment agency but i did not managed to pick up the calls. Later i call back the number but no one picked it up as it was after 6.30pm. So this morning i give a call back and within the second ring, the call was picked up but the person don't remember me(of course i don't expect him to as he may have receive too many resumes) and then he asked "where are you calling from?".

It seem to be quite a stupid question to ask, you don't expect me to answer Singapore or maybe Ang Mo Kio, Yishun etc..., it does give me an impression that he only expect someone from a company to call him. He did not wait for me to explain further and said that if i don't mind, he is busy at the moment and will check his records and call me back. Of course i believe him but until night fall, i did not receive any call. I'm only like to find out why he called me yesterday, nothing can be more simple than this.

It does make me think that whether i can trust this person to help to ensure my career fate? There are too many other questions popping up. It is quite a bad feeling when you cannot have control over something that is important.
